Join us for the weekend event of the season and the start of Virginia Oyster Month! We invite you to be part of an annual Virginia tradition at Philip Carter Winery, Chesapeake Bay oysters, award-winning wines, ciders, and mead!

Tasting tickets are $15 per person in advance ($20 at the event) and include a tasting flight of 4 wines, 3 ciders, 2 meads, and a souvenir wine glass to take home. Oysters and other seafood will be available for purchase by Blue Ridge Seafood. Live music, beautiful views, and firepits in the vineyard. We look forward to having you!

Additionally, all weekend Howlers and Growlers of our Sangria will be greatly discounted!

This wine & spirits competition is one of the largest charitable wine and spirits competitions in the United States! With over 3,000 entries from around the world and 50 judges, they hand out thousands of awards and only 8 Platinum awards, one of which was given to PCW’s flagship wine, Cleve!

Vertical Tasting Traditions

We invite you to join us for our Vertical Tasting traditions. The tasting will include vintages of 3 wines spanning from the last decade. A vertical tasting is arranged to taste different vintages of the same style of wine. Conversely, a horizontal tasting is arranged to taste the same style of wine from different producers or vineyard lots from the same vintage.

Limited availability of these wines will available for purchase!

Easter Wine Pairing Traditions

Come out to Philip Carter for a self-guided Easter Wine Pairing. Delicious bites from Hittin’ the Spot Catering will be paired with delicious Philip Cater Wine. Enjoy your pairing outside amongst the vines or nestled near the fireplace in our newly renovated Cleve Hall. Tasting sheets to be provided for guidance. All wines will be available for purchase after the tasting, including a few wine-club exclusives!

March Barrel Tasting Series

Join us for a tour, tasting, and a picnic all Weekends in March!

Come out to the winery to get an exclusive tasting of our wines straight from the barrel! Includes guided tasting of several wines in the cellar led by a wine educator. The package also includes a personal charcuterie box and a keepsake Philip Carter wine glass. $30 per person plus tax.

Limited to eight customers per session.

Reservations required. If a reservation is made within 48hrs of your selected barrel tasting time, a charcuterie box cannot be guaranteed.
