Philip Carter Winery (formerly Stillhouse Vineyards) is under new ownership and has a new name to commemorate Charles Carter's dream for winemaking in Virginia. The full history is available here.

Special Events

Looking for a venue? Philip Carter Winery of Virginia is building just such a place. Construction is underway on an expansion wing that will add 1,250 square feet of tasting room space, an elegant bridal changing room and a fully handicap-accessible bathroom.

The tasting room will have a vaulted 18-foot high ceiling, a centrally located 8-foot stone hearth, and an indoor/outdoor cafe-style tasting bar that is fully accessible to guests from the tasting room or to guests outdoors on the patio overlooking breathtaking views of the magnificent Blue Ridge mountains.
