Special Events, Parties and Weddings

Looking for a venue? We have a beautiful new addition, Cleve Hall, ready and waiting for your special events! We can accommodate as many as 90 in a standing Cocktail Party scenario or 75 seated and 150 with additional tent. Catering and entertainment options are available. Enjoy two different Philip Carter wines every other month! As a Club Member you will be part of a growing number of local and national wine enthusiasts who share an excitement about Philip Carter wine.

Thursday - Monday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays Extended Summer Hours until 8pm.

July and August: Sangria on the Patio & Live Music Every Saturday.

July 4 & 5: Red, Whites and Rockin! Family picnics and live music from 1-5pm.

July 10: University of Richmond Culinary School Wine Pairing Dinner. Dishes will be demonstrated, plated and served right before your eyes either by a culinary instructor and then expertly paired with wines.

July 18: Bottling Day, come to the vineyard and be amazed at this magical process

July 25: Celebrate with Summer Wine. Philip Carter’s Falconwood, a lovely sipping wine blended of Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc, and Chardonnay pairs with your picnic perfectly.

August 6: David & Prescott Gourmet Getaways. Author Joe David and Former PBS Chef Instructor Jill Prescott will be hosting an evening of wine and food tasting at Philip Carter Winery from 6–9 pm.

August 23: Artist’s Reception and Wine Tasting, from 2-5 pm. Solo Art Show by Erika Stone-Bryant, owner of Art and Vino, visits vineyards, drinks the wine, and paints the scenery. Her vibrant colors of Virginia vineyards and landscapes will be on display through the end of October.

August 29: Blessing of the Vines and Vineyard and Wine Dinner. Philip Carter Winery welcomes The Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine for the traditional moving ceremony, textured with Gregorian Chant, that blesses the grapevines and vineyard encouraging a lush harvest and excellent wines.
