Philip Carter Winery (formerly Stillhouse Vineyards) is
under new ownership and has a new name to commemorate Charles Carter's dream for winemaking in Virginia. The full history is available here.
Special Events
Looking for a venue? Philip Carter Winery of Virginia is building just such a place. Construction is underway on an expansion wing that will add 1,250 square feet of tasting room space, an elegant bridal changing room and a fully handicap-accessible bathroom.The tasting room will have a vaulted 18-foot high ceiling, a centrally located 8-foot stone hearth, and an indoor/outdoor cafe-style tasting bar that is fully 
accessible to guests from the tasting room or to guests outdoors on the patio overlooking breathtaking views of the magnificent Blue Ridge mountains. Construction is scheduled to be completed before Memorial Day weekend.
